Getting Donations

An auction is only as good as the donations received! 

Getting Donations is easy – here’s how… 

• Ask your employer.
• Do you have Season Tickets to sports events or the theatre? Is there a night you can’t go? Donate those tickets (they need to be after the auction date 10/22/11)
• Walk into local businesses and just ask! NW 23rd is a great street to spend the day with friends and help the school at the same time.
• Are you about to lose points on your Credit Card? Use them to get a gift card and donate that to the Auction.
• Call, mail, fax or email donation letters to businesses.
• Ask stores you buy from or services you frequently use. (always carry letters in your car)
• Ask a company to donate their services.
• Ask friends and family – maybe they have a hidden talent or they have a friend with a talent? (painting, photography, knitting, cooking etc.)
• You can make an item (doll clothes, jewelry, scarves, hats etc).
• You can put together a themed basket
• Donate your skills or services. (a cooking class, sewing class, jewelry making, maybe a fully cooked dinner)
• Donate your beach house or timeshare or maybe a friend’s.

Where do I drop off my donations?

For actual items, please place them in the office, please make sure the donation information sheet is with the item. Very small items and gift certificates can be put in the box marked “Donations” at the front desk. Again, please be sure the information sheet is attached.

All Donations must be in by October 7th!
