Class Baskets - Start Hunting Now!

Baskets will be in the school foyer from Monday, September 12 through Friday September30.


Remember to watch the clearance aisles and closeouts – they are great places to find hidden treasures!
Also BORDERS is going out of business great deals to be found.

Class Baskets are a great way for our kids to get involved in the auction. Each class will have a themed basket (see below) and the kids and their families contribute items to the basket. These baskets are highly sought-after items in the auction. The items need not be expensive ($1-$15) and it’s fun to see how creative you can get with the theme. Listed with each theme are some ideas to get you started.


Puffins & Toucans – Let’s Dress UP!

Be a knight, a pirate, or a princess…this basket could include dress up clothes, costumes, face paints, make-up, jewelry, etc.


Bears (Polar, Panda, Kodiak) – Movie Mania

What is your favorite way to enjoy a movie? This basket could include, movies (family movies only please), popcorn, popcorn bowls, blanket, movie passes, candy etc. Remember to check out those clearance aisles for great prices.


Wallabies & Kangaroos – Bookworm

Build a library for your emerging reader with all genre’s of books – pictures books, reference, classics, comics, jokes and riddles, puzzles, sticker books, gift cards to Powell’s, Borders or Barnes & Noble, etc.


Sharks – Family Game Extravaganza

Going on a Road Trip? What games does your family really enjoy? Any and all kinds of games including cards, board games, video games, outdoor games, car games etc.


Roadrunners – Art Attack!

Any and all kinds of art supplies – paints, paper, coloring books, crayons, colored pencils, stickers, clay, tools, kits, etc.


Chinooks – Get Your Groove on!

Music, music, music…anything to do with making music, listening to music or going to see a performance. (kazoo, tambourine, drum, recorder, CD’s, gift card, headphones etc.)


Vikings – Mad Scientist

What excites your young one about science? This basket could include, Science kits, telescopes, books,
chemistry sets, microscopes, tickets to OMSI, space related, Science Videos etc.


Eagles – Kid vs. Wild (Exploring the outdoors)

Camping, hiking, insect collecting, gardening, even star gazing. This can include any number of things you can do to explore nature and any of the gear you might need…flashlights, insect vacuum, trail guidebooks, etc.


Liberty – Book Snob

Build a library for your young reader – what are they really interested in? Mysteries, sci-fi, the classics, maybe reference books, puzzles, Sudoku, gift cards, etc.
